Owner's advisor for homeowners

Someone on your side of every home project.

Ownerside Home helps homeowners plan the work, set a realistic budget and find licensed pros, then sits beside you while you decide. We are not a contractor. We only work for you.

Owners only

Our only client is the homeowner, and only the homeowner pays us.

Licensed pros

We only introduce pros whose license we have checked.

Across the US

We work with owners all around the country, by phone and video.

What we do

The homeowner's advisor, from first idea to the people you hire.

Most homeowners go into a home project alone, talking to people who are paid by the job. We sit on your side of the table. Our work is advice, organization and introductions. The work on your home is done by the licensed pros you choose and hire.

01

Scope it

We turn what you want into a clear written brief: the rooms, your priorities, the must-haves and the nice-to-haves.

02

Budget it

We help you set a realistic budget, with a cushion for surprises, before you talk to anyone about the work.

03

Find licensed pros

We look for licensed, insured professionals who fit your project, check their license status and reviews, and introduce you.

04

Sit in with you

We join your meetings with the pros you choose, take notes and send you a plain-English summary, so nothing gets lost.

Where we stand

We are not a contractor.

That is the point. We have nothing to sell you but advice, so our advice has nothing to protect.

We don't do the work
We don't perform, sell or supervise any work on your home.
We don't run bidding or schedules
We don't collect or manage bids, and we don't set work schedules for anyone.
We don't take fees from pros
No commissions, no referral fees, no kickbacks. Our only client is you.
You stay in charge
You hire, sign with, schedule and pay your pros directly.
Projects we help with

The projects owners bring us.

Every home is different, but the worries repeat. Here is what owners usually come to us with, and how we help.

Kitchen

“Everyone you talk to has a different idea of what it should cost.”

We write down what you want and set a budget with a cushion, so every conversation starts from the same page.

Bathroom

“A small room with a surprising number of decisions.”

We help you decide what matters most, set the budget and find licensed pros who do this kind of work.

Yard, deck or patio

“You're not sure which trade to call first.”

We work out who you need, in what order, and introduce you to licensed pros for each part.

Whole-home update

“Too big to hold in your head.”

We break it into a plan and a budget you can follow, and sit in on the meetings with the pros you choose.

A house that needs work

“You're thinking of buying, and can't tell if the work is worth it.”

Before you commit, we help you understand what the work could cost and who you would need.

A home you can't be at

“A second home or a rental, and you can't make every meeting.”

We join the meetings you set up, by phone or video, take the notes and send you a plain summary.
